The project
Studio Seventy Five were asked to design a wraparound extension to accommodate a larger kitchen, utility room and boot room. The property, nestled along Manchester Road in Millhouse Green, Sheffield is a significant building in the local area, it was built in 1909 and served as the village council offices and chambers.
Our solution for the period property was to create a single storey wrap around extension to reflect the changing needs of the family. The chosen palette of materials reflects the existing characterful period property, using reclaimed stone, oak frame and natural slate roof. Views onto the garden are framed by large sections of triple-glazed, oak framed windows and doors.
