This project at Leapings House in Thurlstone encompassed three distinct areas of work, combining refurbishment with high-specification new build and full external landscaping.
The existing garage was thoroughly refurbished, with thermal upgrades, new waterproofing and external finishes improving both performance and appearance. Heritage-style rooflights and a relocated staircase created valuable additional floorspace within the building’s footprint.
A new garden room was designed and constructed to provide a bar, entertaining space and relaxation area. Built with a feature oak frame, oak windows and doors plus a York stone roof, the space is finished with venetian plaster and oak flooring throughout. Underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump combined with air conditioning, ensures the room is comfortable and fully serviced year-round.
The grounds were transformed through renewed external landscaping, including a new driveway and parking area finished with a granite sett border and tarmac infill. The garden layout incorporates planting and lawn areas, resin bound gravel walkways and seating areas, complemented by external lighting and outdoor furniture.
